Qatar Chamber’s Board Member and Chairperson of Qatari Businesswomen Forum, Ebtihaj Al Ahmadani, inaugurated the third edition of ‘Merwad Exhibition’ at the Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC).
Sponsored by Qatar Chamber and organized by Vouge Event Company, the five-day expo displays products of a number of designers from Qatar and the GCC, includes 140 stalls of clothes, accessories, perfumes and women’s item.
Following the inauguration ceremony, Al Ahmadani toured the expo stalls which displayed innovative items of Qatari designers, She praised the expo development in terms of number of participants, area and variety of displayed items, stressing that Qatar Chamber is keen on providing support for businesswomen due to its convince in the role they can play in the national economic development.
Al Ahmadani also said that Qatari businesswomen Forum sought to develop businesses of Qatari businesswomen and provide all possible support for them to keep progress and improve their projects.
On her part, Manager of Vogue Event Company Tamader al Marri said that the expo was a huge success in its editions, noting that number of exhibitors developed from 60, 84 to 140. The expo saw a large turnout from exhibitors. There are 50 exhibitors are awaiting to participate in the upcoming edition, she added.
Tamader also noted that there are exhibitors from friendly countries such as India, Turkey, Kuwait, China and Oman, affirming that there are a large number of Qatari exhibitors. The expo, organized twice every year, attracts items of high quality and innovative items.
